Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Child Development Specialist in Vereeniging for a hybrid role involving on-site engagement and remote planning. You will assess child development, create personalized learning plans, and guide educators and parents to support growth.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Child Development and has 5+ years in early childhood education or development support, with strong knowledge of developmental theories and assessment tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education or child development support.
• Strong knowledge of developmental theories and assessment tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both in-person and remote responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments for children, identifying strengths and areas for support.
• Develop individualized learning plans and intervention strategies for children.
• Provide consultation and training to educators and parents on child development topics.
• Collaborate with families to establish supportive home environments for learning.
• Contribute to curriculum development from a child development perspective, both in-person and remotely.
