Placements24 seeks a Chemical Process Developer to join our R&D team in Klerksdorp. This hybrid role focuses on innovating and refining chemical processes from laboratory scale to pilot plant, balancing lab work with remote analysis and reporting.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers to advance our product pipeline, bring new technologies to life, and ensure safety and efficiency throughout development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is required.
• Experience in process development, scale-up and experimental design is needed.
• Familiarity with lab techniques and analytical instrumentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct lab experiments to develop novel chemical processes.
• Scale-up from benchtop to pilot plant, optimizing parameters for efficiency and safety.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports.
• Troubleshoot process issues during development and scale-up phases.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and QA teams.
