Job summary

Client in Centurion, Gauteng, seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP team, manage vendor invoices, payments, and supplier relations with a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.

The role requires a National Diploma or degree in Accounting, 3–5 years in AP with supervisory experience, and strong ERP knowledge (Sage, QuickBooks, SAP). Hybrid work and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or National Diploma in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years in Accounts Payable with at least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role.
• Experience with accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Oversee the preparation and execution of weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
• Manage the month-end closing process for the Accounts Payable ledger.
• Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Train and mentor AP team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Liaise with procurement and other departments to resolve invoice issues.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the AP function.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
