Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking a Maintenance & Servicing Technician to join our client’s technical team in Johannesburg. The role involves maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, repair and installation of industrial ventilation, fan, HVAC and related systems.

Trade-qualified or Millwright experience is preferred, with a valid driver’s license. The position is permanent with a monthly salary of R30,000 CTC and standard working hours.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Electrician or Red Seal qualification is advantageous.
• Holds a relevant trade or Millwright qualification or substantial practical experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, ventilation or industrial servicing.
• Experience in industrial engineering, HVAC, ventilation or related applications is advantageous.
• Willing to travel to customer sites.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete repairs efficiently, accurately and safely.
• Install and maintain electrical systems used in HVAC and engineering applications.
• Travel to customer sites to assess, service and repair equipment.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding faults and service resolutions.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean working environment.
