Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Johannesburg is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair industrial equipment and systems on customer sites. You will diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults, perform routine maintenance and ensure work is completed safely and on time.

The role requires a trade qualification or equivalent, with advantageous Millwright/Red Seal credentials. Travel to client sites is required; a valid driver’s license and physical fitness are essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification, Millwright qualification or equivalent technical experience.
• Trade-tested Electrician or Red Seal qualification will be advantageous.
• Practical experience in a maintenance, servicing or field technician role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults.
• Experience within industrial engineering, HVAC, ventilation, fans or related applications will be advantageous.
• Refrigeration experience or knowledge will be beneficial.
• Valid drivers license.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Physically fit and able to perform workshop and site-based duties.
• Basic problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
