Job summary

Advius is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC experience to lead design, installation and commissioning of building services in Centurion. The role blends hands-on engineering with direct client contact, from initial calculations to final handover.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in building services, substantive HVAC know‑how, and proficiency in AutoCAD. On-site collaboration with contractors and clients is required, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical) or equivalent with 3–6 years in building services.
• Proven HVAC design, installation and commissioning experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of HVAC design software (e.g. HAP, Revit MEP or similar) is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Familiarity with SANS 10400 and SANS 10173 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• HVAC Design – size and specify systems (chillers, AHUs, VRF/VRV, ducts).
• Perform heat load calculations and equipment selection.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, BOQs and submissions.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and handover to client.
