Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with HVAC expertise to join the Randburg team on full-time basis. You will design, specify, and manage HVAC projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with codes.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of HVAC design and project engineering experience.
• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and HVAC tools (HAP, Trace 700).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, energy efficiency, and building codes.
• Experience with Randburg/Gauteng region is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

They are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. This role will involve the design, specification, and project management of HVAC systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of HVAC principles, energy efficiency, and building codes, alongside excellent CAD and project coordination skills. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Prepare detailed HVAC design calculations, schematics, and specifications using relevant software.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, fans, and controls.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, energy efficiency standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with other building services disciplines (electrical, plumbing, structural).
• Manage HVAC projects, overseeing installation, commissioning, and site inspections.
• Conduct energy modeling and performance analysis for HVAC systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC-related issues.
• Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of contractor submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC system design and project engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and HVAC design tools (e.g., HAP, Trace 700).
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles as applied to HVAC.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency standards (e.g., SANS) and sustainable design practices.

• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
