Pollock and Associates is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to drive health, safety and environmental compliance across operational, workshop and field-based service environments.

The role focuses on hands-on safety leadership, regulatory knowledge and the ability to build a proactive safety culture within complex operations. Strong reporting capability and incident investigation experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Public Health or related discipline.
• NEBOSH certification essential (IOSH / NVQ advantageous).
• 5-7 years' HSE experience within industrial, technical service or operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of South African HSE legislation and compliance standards.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Advanced reporting and data analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Drive HSE compliance, audits and governance standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative controls.
• Manage incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Prepare monthly compliance reports and performance dashboards.
• Lead training initiatives, toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes.
• Improve procedures and drive a continuous safety improvement initiative.
