Job summary

Brooklyn, Gauteng-based law firm is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead the full HR function, ensure compliance with labour legislation and implement HR policies.

The ideal candidate will have an HR degree or equivalent, 5+ years in HR (5–10 in generalist roles), strong Labour Law knowledge, and experience handling employee relations, disciplinary matters and CCMA/Labour Court matters. Proactive, communicative, and able to work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• HR degree or equivalent with relevant NQF qualification.
• Minimum 5 years HR experience post-qualification.
• Strong Labour Law knowledge and CCMA/Labour Court familiarity.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Experience managing employee relations, disciplinary matters and policy compliance.

Human Resource Manager (HR Manager)
Location: Brooklyn, Gauteng
Salary: Market Related
A well-established and reputable law firm based in Brooklyn, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full HR function within the firm, ensuring effective implementation of HR processes, policies and procedures, while maintaining compliance with applicable labour legislation

Minimum Requirements

• HR Degree or relevant NQF equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ HR experience after completing your qualification
• 5–10 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role preferred
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Labour Law
• Experience managing employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, CCMA and Labour Court matters
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment advantageous
• Project management experience advantageousStrong Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong drafting, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Own reliable transport
• Valid South African citizenship or work permit
• Willingness to work overtime and attend to after-hours calls when required
