Job summary

Crowe DNA (Pty) Ltd in Sandton, South Africa, seeks a practical HR Generalist with 1–3 years’ experience to support day‑to‑day HR delivery across the employee lifecycle. You will handle HR administration, onboarding, ER, performance management and Zoho People administration.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or related field.
• 1–3 years’ HR generalist or HR officer experience.
• Practical experience using Zoho People.
• Experience supporting employee-relations and disciplinary processes.
• Knowledge of SA labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, POPIA).
• Experience with HR administration, recruitment, onboarding and records management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records in Zoho People.
• Administer onboarding, probation, transfers and exits.
• Prepare employment contracts and HR documents.
• Monitor leave, attendance and documentation.
• Support recruitment and interview coordination; reference checks.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to staff.
• Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes and minutes.
• Address employee-relations concerns and escalate complex IR matters.
• Assist with performance reviews and probation reviews.
• Prepare HR reports and follow up on actions.
• Coordinate employee communication and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SA labour law.
