Qualifications

• A relevant diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or a related field.
• Between one and three years’ practical HR generalist or HR officer experience.
• Practical experience using Zoho People is required.
• Working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, EEA and POPIA.
• Experience with HR administration, recruitment, onboarding and employee record management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records in Zoho People.
• Administer onboarding, probation, transfers and exits.
• Prepare employment contracts and HR documentation.
• Monitor leave and attendance.
• Support recruitment: advertise, screen, interview, reference checks.
• Guide employees and managers on HR policies.
• Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Prepare regular HR reports.
• Collaborate on training and HR projects.
• Ensure compliance with SA labour laws.
• Maintain confidential employee files.
