Placements24 is seeking an HR Generalist with a specialization in Talent Acquisition to drive end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for our client in Gauteng. The role focuses on attracting top talent for a dynamic manufacturing environment and will be based on-site in Tembisa.

You will develop sourcing strategies, conduct assessments, coordinate onboarding, and maintain HRIS/ATS records while collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs and contribute to broader HR activities.

• Relevant degree/diploma in HR or related field.
• 4–6 years HR experience with focus on recruitment.

• Knowledge of South African labour laws relating to recruitment.

About the Role

Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector and is actively seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist with a specialization in Talent Acquisition to join their team. This role is critical in attracting and onboarding top talent to support the company's growth and operational excellence in Tembisa, Gauteng . As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle, from identifying staffing needs to the final onboarding of new employees. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of recruitment best practices within the South African context. The successful candidate will work on-site, contributing directly to the vibrant HR department and playing a key role in building a high-performing workforce. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
• Conduct thorough reference and background checks for all potential hires.
• Extend job offers and negotiate employment terms with successful candidates.
• Coordinate and conduct pre-employment assessments and interviews.
• Onboard new employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming integration into the company.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the HRIS and ATS.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
• Contribute to broader HR generalist functions as needed, including employee relations and HR administration.
• Track and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire.

Requirements

• A relevant degree or diploma in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Proven experience in sourcing candidates using various channels (job boards, social media, networking, direct sourcing).
• Solid understanding of South African labour laws pertaining to recruitment and employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and interviewing skills.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach to talent acquisition.
• Knowledge of broader HR generalist functions is an advantage.
