LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Sandton is seeking an HR Generalist focused on Compliance and Policy. You will develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, conduct compliance audits, and manage employee relations with emphasis on legal and ethical standards.

The role leads HR initiatives in a matrixed organisation, partnering with COE leadership and business to deliver integrated HR support across the organisation. Strong SA labour law knowledge and data privacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in HR, with a significant focus on compliance and policy development.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.).
• Experience in conducting HR investigations and managing employee relations cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
• Manage and advise on employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
• Oversee compliance training for management and employees.
• Maintain HR records and documentation with a strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
• Lead HR function and implement HR plans aligned with business objectives; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Lead development and implementation of HR policies, frameworks, and data management processes ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
