Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist in Sandton to lead compliance and policy initiatives. You will develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, and conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to SA laws and internal standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HRM or Law and at least 6 years of HR experience with a strong focus on policy development and employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary procedures, while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of HR experience focusing on compliance and policy development.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.).
• Experience in HR investigations and managing employee relations cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
• Manage and advise on employee relations issues, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
• Oversee compliance training for management and employees.
• Maintain HR records and documentation with a strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
