Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an analytical HR Data Analyst to join their Sandton team. You will transform HR data into actionable insights that support workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.

You will collect, clean, and analyze large HR datasets, develop dashboards using Tableau or Power BI, and present findings to stakeholders. A 2–4 year background in data analysis with SQL, Python or R and advanced Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, HR, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within an HR function.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.
• Strong understanding of HR metrics and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to HR metrics such as turnover, recruitment, performance, and compensation.
• Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
• Identify key trends, patterns, and insights within HR data to inform strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR business partners and leadership to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and adherence to data privacy regulations.
