Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance Officer in Sandton to ensure adherence to South African labor laws and HR regulations. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across the organization, collaborating with departments to assess risks and maintain documentation.

You will drive policy updates, conduct compliance audits, and provide staff training on ethical conduct, reporting to government agencies as required, in a role offering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR, or related field.
• 5-7 years' experience in HR with a focus on compliance and labor law.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Experience with HR audits and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with South African labor laws.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices and records to identify compliance gaps.
• Manage the implementation of new legislation and update policies accordingly.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of required HR reports to government agencies.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
• Act as a primary point of contact for labor law inquiries and regulatory bodies.
