Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an HR Specialist focused on Compliance & Employee Relations to join their Richards Bay team in KwaZulu-Natal. You will ensure HR practices align with current labor laws and company policies while managing grievances and investigations, and providing expert advice on HR compliance matters.

The role demands a strong background in employee relations, compliance, and detailed HR recordkeeping, with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or law.
• At least 5 years HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and compliance.
• Experience in Richards Bay industrial sector is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SA labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Proven experience conducting workplace investigations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to SA labor laws and company HR policies at Richards Bay site.
• Manage and resolve employee grievances and disputes fairly and timely.
• Conduct thorough investigations into complaints and misconduct.
• Develop and deliver training on HR compliance and employee relations.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
• Advise management on HR policies and legal requirements.
• Audit HR processes to ensure compliance.
• Assist with disciplinary processes and terminations.
• Promote a positive and compliant work environment.
