This position is ideal for an experienced supervisor who takes pride in maintaining exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards within a luxury hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are prepared and maintained to the highest standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead from the front, support the housekeeping team, conduct regular inspections, and ensure that departmental procedures are followed consistently.

This role requires a hands-on hospitality professional with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage staff effectively. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment and contributing to an outstanding guest experience.

Job Requirements

• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience in a luxury lodge or five-star hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and high cleanliness standards
• Experience conducting room and public-area inspections
• Ability to train, motivate, and manage housekeeping personnel
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, and hygiene standards
• Experience with linen management, stock control, and inventory procedures
• Strong administration, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to prepare staff rosters and coordinate daily departmental duties
• Good communication and guest interaction abilities
• Professional, reliable, and able to lead from the front
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy lodge environment
• Willingness to live and work in Sabi Sand, Mpumalanga
