Job summary

Sun International is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeper to lead daily housekeeping operations, including rooms, public areas, and back-of-house cleaning, while ensuring compliance with SOPs and grading standards.

The role requires substantial housekeeping experience, supervision capabilities, and the ability to work shifts that include holidays and weekends. The successful candidate will coordinate stock, linen and equipment and liaise with maintenance, finance and HR to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years housekeeping experience with 3 years experience as a Housekeeping supervisor
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is required
• Ability to work shifts that include public holidays, nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day housekeeping operations and staff
• Ensure SOPs and grading standards are met
• Coordinate pest control, linen, stock and equipment
• Conduct weekly walkabouts to monitor guest areas and cleanliness
• Collaborate with maintenance, finance, HR and security to address risks
