Amana Living is seeking a Kitchenhand based at Lady McCusker Home in Duncraig, WA. This part-time role focuses on warm, caring meal service and keeping the kitchen organised to support residents’ comfort and home-like experiences.

You will prepare meals, maintain hygiene standards, and support stock checks while engaging with residents in line with our values. Induction and compliance checks are required.

Formación

• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-month validity).
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.

• Record temperature and cleaning records for the week and submit for signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check stock requirements and replenish supplies as needed.

The Position

Based at Lady McCusker Home in Duncraig, your role as a Kitchenhand is more than just preparing meals, it’s about bringing warmth and care to our residents through food. By keeping the kitchen organised and supporting meal preparation, you’ll help create moments of comfort and joy that truly makes it feel like home. This is a part‑time role offering 53 hours per fortnight.

Week 1 & Week 2

• Monday: 07:00 – 15:00
• Tuesday: 07:00 – 15:00
• Thursday: 07:00 – 15:00
• Friday: 15:00 – 19:00

Please note you have to be able to commit all days advertised, to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in manager's basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.

Essential Criteria

• Evidence of current flu vaccination per Amana Living policies.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-month validity).
• Successful completion of pre‑employment medical and reference checks.
• Proven organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
• Willingness to attend 2-day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute.
