Job summary

Amana Living in Kinross Care Centre Lake House is seeking a part-time Kitchenhand and Cleaner to bring warmth and care to residents through food and cleaning services. The role involves rostered shifts totaling 27 hours per fortnight, with a pattern across weeks and days, including evenings and Saturdays.

You will prepare meals, maintain hygiene standards, and support a respectful, positive resident experience while coordinating with staff and families. Induction is required.

Qualifications

• Evidence of current flu vaccination per Amana Living policies.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 6 months.
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.
• Proven organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to attend 2 day paid induction at Rivervale Training Institute.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear meals in line with schedules.
• Maintain kitchen areas and adhere to hygiene standards.
• Interact with residents, families and staff in line with values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain good interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect temperature and cleaning records for weekly checks.
• Record dietary changes on the master printout.
• Check stock requirements and replenish supplies as needed.
