Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cleaning Team Leader for a prestigious hotel group in Paarl, Western Cape. You will oversee housekeeping operations, manage a team of cleaners, develop daily schedules, and ensure compliance with hygiene protocols to maintain guest comfort and high standards.

• Experience in a supervisory role within hotel housekeeping or cleaning environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment specific to hospitality.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards in a hotel setting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of housekeeping and cleaning staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
• Develop and manage daily cleaning schedules for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's cleanliness standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; place orders as needed.
• Address guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Implement and maintain waste management and recycling programs.
• Conduct staff training sessions on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback and recognition.
