Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings is seeking a maintenance technician to provide technical, maintenance, and administrative support for hospital infrastructure and equipment. You will perform routine inspections, assist with preventive and reactive maintenance, and help ensure reliable operation of critical systems across theatres, wards, ICU, and emergency units.

The role requires an N6 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, Matric, and at least 1 year of healthcare facilities experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is required.
• N6 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification is essential.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of hospital plant rooms and technical infrastructure.
• Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance including breakdown response.
• Monitor and support generators, UPS systems, HVAC, pumps, water systems, and related equipment.
• Perform basic fault finding and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and service reports.
