Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Cook for a busy contract catering environment in Gauteng. You will prepare, cook and present meals per approved menus, while ensuring quality, portion control and strict hygiene standards.

You will support stock management, minimize wastage and assist with serving when needed. The role requires reliability, teamwork and the ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook within a contract catering environment.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HSE standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus and operational instructions accurately.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Ensure food is prepared and served with quality and portion control in mind.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety at all times.
• Assist with stock receiving, storage, rotation and counts.
• Minimise wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Keep kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and well maintained.
• Follow company policies and operational standards.
• Assist with serving meals when required.
• Report equipment faults or shortages to supervisor and support the catering team.
