Placements24 is seeking an energetic Catering Supervisor in Soweto, Gauteng to oversee on-site catering at high-volume events. You will lead catering teams, ensure seamless service, and uphold company standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires proven leadership in fast-paced catering settings, strong communication, and a proactive attitude toward delivering high-quality service in a dynamic event environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory role within catering or hospitality.
• Proven experience directing staff during events.
• Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation protocols in catering.

Responsibilities

• Supervise catering staff during setup, service and breakdown.
• Ensure services meet client specifications and standards.
• Manage food and beverage service for quality, presentation and timeliness.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages during events.
• Enforce health, safety and hygiene regulations on site.
• Provide on-the-job training to staff to boost performance.
• Address guest or client concerns promptly and professionally.
• Lead pre-event briefings and coordinate with kitchen and events teams.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and event spaces.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and event managers for smooth execution.
