takealot.com, South Africa's leading online retailer, is seeking a highly talented Promotions Co-ordinator to join our Trade Optimization team in our Cape Town offices.

You'll work with Retail, Marketing, Marketplace, Catalogue and Advertising to execute campaigns, manage deadlines, select offers and produce monthly campaign insights while maintaining accuracy and speed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree/Advanced Diploma qualification OR if qualification requirement isn’t met, at least 5 years experience in a high-performance environment in either retail marketing/buying/planning will be required
• Experience in retail promotions is highly preferred
• 3+ years in a experience in a high-performance environment in either retail marketing/buying/planning
• Proficient in using Excel and Project Management tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Promotions Operations Manager in executing promotional campaigns on site according to the Promotions calendar.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders in Retail, Marketing, Marketplace, Catalogue and Advertising.
• Communicate deadlines, requirements and processes for all promotional campaigns and update tools/platforms.
• Select relevant promotional offers to highlight on email newsletters or site features.
• Produce monthly reporting on promotions and provide actionable insights to optimise future campaigns.
• Monitor planned offers daily and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
• Ensure product selection, listings, stock and pricing are accurate and competitive.
• Resolve queries and escalate as needed from stakeholders.
• Train stakeholders in Retail and Marketplace to use promotional tools.
• Coordinate with Design Team to develop banners and ensure correct artwork by deadlines.
• Maintain monthly work schedule and task distribution in Asana.
• Collaborate on Anchor campaigns (Black Friday, Fire Sale, Thanksalot, etc.).
• Collaborate with Product Team to improve Promotional Tools and identify bugs.
