Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician or Diesel Mechanic.
• Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of heavy-duty diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools for commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy components.
• Valid driver’s license (Code 10 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspension.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems specific to commercial vehicles.
• Conduct routine servicing, including fluid changes, filter replacements, and component checks.
• Use diagnostic software and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.
