Qualifications

• Professional SACAP registration is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and specialized medical units.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, administrators, and end-users to understand specific operational needs and clinical workflows.
• Ensure designs comply with stringent healthcare regulations, building codes, and infection control standards (e.g., DOH guidelines).
• Develop detailed architectural plans, room layouts, and system integrations for medical facilities.
• Integrate advanced medical equipment requirements and technological systems into the design.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring efficient project delivery.
• Coordinate with specialized consultants, including medical equipment planners, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for healthcare projects.
• Prepare and present design proposals and documentation to clients and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• A professional Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years specializing in healthcare facilities.
• Proven experience designing hospitals, clinics, or other complex medical buildings.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare-specific building codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., infection control, medical gas systems, HBNs/HTMs).
• Proficiency in architectural software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD, with an understanding of BIM for healthcare projects.
• Excellent understanding of healthcare technology and equipment integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional registration with SACAP is essential.
