About the Role

Our client, a prestigious architectural firm renowned for its expertise in specialized sectors, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with a focus on Healthcare Design to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. This challenging position offers the opportunity to lead the design and development of complex healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers, across South Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare planning principles, medical workflows, infection control, and relevant regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for conceptualizing innovative, patient-centered environments that enhance healing and operational efficiency. This role requires exceptional design leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with healthcare professionals, engineers, and construction teams in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for healthcare projects, from conceptualization to construction documentation.
• Develop functional space plans and detailed layouts for various healthcare departments and facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant healthcare building codes, regulations (e.g., National Health Act requirements), and standards.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare consultants, medical equipment planners, and engineering disciplines.

Requirements
