Job summary

Mr Price Group in Durban seeks an experienced Head of digital and social marketing to lead a dynamic brand team. The role focuses on strategic video direction, content development, and end-to-end shoot management to drive brand awareness and revenue.

The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with creativity, has 6+ years in senior videography and at least 1–2 years of people management, and can coordinate across sub-brands and platforms.

Qualifications

• 3 years bachelor's degree in Video Tech or equivalent (ISCED 6).
• 6+ years in a senior videographer position, preferably in a retail environment.
• 1-2+ years’ experience managing teams.
• Thorough understanding of Camera equipment, lighting and editing; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management Systems (ATG BCC, Adobe Scene7, Responses). Strong camera knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate the Creative Leaders seasonal direction into the video pitch for each sub-brand.
• Create scamps, storyboard and shoot plans aligned to brief requirements.
• Drive innovation in video formats (long-form, short-form, social, OOH, in-store, motion graphics).
• Collaborate with Brand and Creative team to understand brief requirements and timelines for all video content.
• Direct shoots on-set with strong technical command of camera, lighting and audio.
• Oversee and source shoot team assistants and relevant equipment from external suppliers.
• Ensure usability of all work across all platforms.
• Attend Pre Productions for assigned jobs, ensuring clear direction for shoots.
• Organise digital assets in shared drives and folders.
