Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Head of Operations for a remote-first software development firm. You will architect robust operational frameworks to support rapid growth, oversee software development operations, and drive product delivery excellence across a globally distributed team.

The role requires 10+ years in technology operations, senior leadership at director/VP level, and mastery of Agile, DevOps, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years of technology operations management experience, with a significant focus on software development environments.
Proven senior leadership experience (Director or VP) in a fast-paced tech company.
Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong leadership, communication, and remote team-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the operational strategy for the technology division, aligning with company goals.
Oversee all aspects of software development operations, including project management, release management, and infrastructure.
Lead and mentor a global team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving remote work environment.
Implement and optimize processes for efficient product development, deployment, and support.
Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships for technology infrastructure and services.
Establish and monitor KPIs for operational efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reliability.
Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and executive leadership to achieve strategic objectives.
Develop and implement strategies for scaling operations to support business growth.
