Standard Bank Group is seeking a Head of Product for Structured Trade & Commodity Finance in Johannesburg. You will own the STCF portfolio, define product architecture, pricing frameworks and risk controls, and lead cross‑functional delivery across origination, structuring, execution and post‑deal monitoring.

You will drive digitisation, automation and scalable governance to support growing client needs while balancing regulatory capital and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years’ experience in structured trade and commodity finance.
• Experience leading a team within STCF.
• Experience implementing systems and product solutions within STCF.
• Advanced understanding of STCF and Transaction Banking with broad operational skills.
• 10+ years championing simplification of solutioning across multiple jurisdictions.
• Broad knowledge across firm and competitive environment.
• Track record of expanding market with new solutions aligned to client needs.
• Knowledge of macro context across multiple geographies.

Responsabilités

• Define and maintain the strategic product architecture for STCF.
• Lead full lifecycle management of the STCF product suite from origination to exit.
• Establish governance frameworks, collateral standards and risk thresholds.
• Define and monitor portfolio limits across countries and commodities.
• Develop deal structuring playbooks and pricing frameworks.
• Drive commercialisation of STCF across markets and client segments.
• Support Coverage and Sales teams in engaging anchor clients.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk indicators.
• Drive product‑level capital optimisation balancing risk and return.
• Lead portfolio interventions to protect asset quality.
