Placements24 is seeking a Lead Recruitment Consultant to head the Mining & Resources division in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead a team of consultants, shape recruitment strategies, and build strong client relationships to deliver top talent.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep mining sector knowledge, a proven recruitment track record, and the ability to drive growth through new mandates while ensuring a superior candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of recruitment experience, with at least 3 years in leadership or team management.
• Proven expertise in recruiting for Mining & Resources sector with sector-specific roles.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong understanding of the Rustenburg and broader North West mining landscape.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
• Proficiency in using ATS and recruitment databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruitment consultants focused on the Mining & Resources sector.
• Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to meet client demands and business objectives.
• Manage and expand relationships with key clients in the mining industry, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for senior and specialized roles, from sourcing to offer.
• Drive business development initiatives to secure new mandates within the mining sector.
• Ensure the team adheres to best practices in recruitment, candidate experience, and compliance.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities within the mining recruitment landscape.
• Achieve and exceed team performance targets and KPIs.
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the consultancy.
