Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent financial services institution in Pretoria , is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT Infrastructure to lead their critical technology operations. This senior management role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. You will oversee a dedicated team of IT professionals, manage vendor relationships, and drive strategic projects to modernize the company's technology landscape. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex IT environments. This role plays a vital part in supporting the company's strategic objectives through robust and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic planning, design, and implementation of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
• Manage and mentor the IT infrastructure team, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of all IT systems and infrastructure components.
• Develop and manage IT infrastructure budgets, optimizing costs and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices to protect company data and systems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT department and other business units.

Requirements
