Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead security initiatives in Richards Bay. This hybrid role involves developing and executing the organization's information security strategy, protecting data and systems, and guiding a team of security professionals.

You will partner with senior management to align security with business objectives, oversee incident response and risk management, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CISSP or CISM certification mandatory.
• 10+ years of information security experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience developing and managing enterprise-wide security strategies and programs.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, compliance and incident response.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security program.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee security operations including incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
• Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
• Report on security posture, risks, and initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders.
