Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in Limpopo is seeking a senior safari guide who can combine field expertise with strong leadership to deliver unforgettable, safe safari experiences across the reserve. This role requires mentoring guides, coordinating game drives, and maintaining the highest guest service standards.

The successful candidate will hold FGASA Level 2 or 3 with Lead Trails, up-to-date First Aid and other certifications, a valid driver's license and PDP, and a proven track record of excellent

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years guiding experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior guide role at a 5* establishment.
• FGASA Level 2 or 3, and Lead Trails.
• All guiding documentation (First Aid, FGASA, DEAT, PDP, ARH etc) must be fully up to date and valid
• Possession of a valid driver's license & PDP is essential
• Excellent proven track record of guest feedback and team supervision
• Must be mature, confident, stable, and an analytical thinker
• Fluent in English (other local language an advantage)
• Must be a natural leader
• Strong decision-making abilities under pressure
• Passion for the outdoors and client satisfaction
• Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
• Must be well-presented and well-spoken
• Must reference incredibly well

Responsibilities

• Lead guiding team to deliver safe, memorable safari experiences across the reserve.
• Supervise guides and maintain high guest satisfaction and feedback.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental sustainability policies.
• Coordinate game drives and guest activities, ensuring seamless logistics.

Job description

This is a senior guiding role suited to a seasoned professional who can combine exceptional field skills with strong leadership and team supervision, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, memorable and expertly guided safari experience across the reserve.

Core Criteria:

• Minimum of 5 years' guiding experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior guide role at a 5* establishment
• FGASA Level 2 or 3, and Lead Trails
• All Guiding documentation (First Aid, FGASA, DEAT, PDP, ARH etc) must be fully up to date and valid
• Possession of a valid driver's license & PDP is essential
• Must be computer literate (MS Office and relevant guiding/logging systems)
• Excellent proven track record of guest feedback and team supervision
• Must be mature, confident, stable, and an analytical thinker
• Fluent in English (other local language an advantage)
• Must be a natural leader
• Strong decision-making abilities under pressure
• Passion for the outdoors and client satisfaction
• Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
