Qualifications

• Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' progressive golf course management experience, including 3+ years as superintendent.
• Deep knowledge of turfgrass, soil science, pest and disease control and irrigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute agronomic plans for turfgrass health, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
• Lead and mentor grounds staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance.
• Manage golf course budget covering labor, equipment, supplies, and capex.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of all course equipment and safety.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Golf Course Superintendent to manage the pristine grounds of their prestigious golf club in Durban . This leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turfgrass management, irrigation systems, pest control, and bunker maintenance, to ensure championship playing conditions year-round. You will lead a dedicated team of groundskeepers and equipment operators, manage operational budgets, and implement sustainable agronomic practices. Key Responsibilities
