Qualifications

• FGASA Professional Trails Guide qualification is essential.
• FGASA-endorsed Trails Mentor is essential.
• FGASA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) is advantageous.
• ETDP Assessor is advantageous.
• ETDP Facilitator is advantageous.
• FGASA Advanced Rifle Handling Assessor is advantageous.
• Valid First Aid Level 2 certificate.
• Minimum 5 years’ field guiding with at least 2 years in senior training/mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the training team to deliver immersive courses for Field Guides.
• Design and improve training modules to FGASA standards.
• Deliver theoretical and practical training with mentorship for students and junior trainers.
• Monitor training quality and ensure alignment with FGASA guidelines.
• Support students and sponsored learners with guidance and feedback.
• Assist Camp Manager with training schedules, records and reports.
• Engage with FGASA, governing bodies and reserves for partnerships.
• Ensure Health & Safety protocols during field activities.
• Conduct 5-day mentored Trails programmes for the College.
