About the Role

Our client, a premier dive center located on the stunning coast of Cape Town , is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Diving Instructor to lead its PADI-certified training programs. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who can inspire a love for the ocean and ensure the highest standards of safety and instruction. You will be responsible for managing the dive instructor team, curriculum development, and ensuring an exceptional experience for all students, from beginners to advanced divers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of dive instructors, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and deliver high-quality dive training courses adhering to PADI standards and safety protocols.
• Ensure all diving equipment is maintained, serviced, and stored correctly according to manufacturer and PADI guidelines.
• Conduct introductory dives, certification courses, and specialized diving excursions for clients of all experience levels.
• Manage dive center operations, including scheduling, customer service, and inventory control for dive equipment and retail.
• Promote a safe and enjoyable diving environment, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and dive site requirements in Cape Town .

Requirements

• Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) or higher PADI certification, with at least 3 years of instructional experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification, along with DAN Oxygen Provider certification.
• Demonstrated experience in managing dive operations and leading a team of instructors.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• In-depth knowledge of diving physiology, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
• A passion for marine life and conservation, with a strong understanding of local dive sites around Cape Town .
