Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking a capable Lodge Operations Manager to oversee daily camp operations and coordinate across departments to sustain high service standards.

You will lead recruitment, training, and performance management while driving guest satisfaction through curated activities and decisive issue resolution. Experience in camp or lodge settings is required, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required; a formal qualification is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and crisis management skills are essential.
• Excellent communication, maturity and professional guest focus are expected.
• Valid driver’s license and off-road driving proficiency are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and local regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily camp operations and coordinate across departments.
• Deliver guest-focused hospitality and plan daily activities and experiences.
• Lead recruitment, training and performance management of camp staff.
• Assist in budgeting and stock control; ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain compliance with SANParks regulations, safety standards and licenses.
• Uphold health, safety and sanitation protocols and emergency procedures.
• Provide regular performance updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement through guest feedback and innovations.
