Job summary

Boxer Superstores Head Office in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced Build Buyer to drive category growth and profitability in the Hardware / Building Materials arena.

The successful candidate will have proven buying or category management experience, supplier relationships, strong negotiation skills and Excel proficiency, and will be Durban-based or willing to relocate. Hardware industry experience is essential.

HARDWARE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL!

Boxer Superstores is looking for an experienced Build Buyer who understands the hardware and building materials retail environment and has the commercial expertise to drive category growth and profitability.

We're looking for someone who knows the products, understands the suppliers and can negotiate effectively in a highly competitive market.

What we're looking for:

• Proven buying, category management or commercial experience specifically within the Hardware / Building Materials industry.
• Strong product knowledge across relevant hardware and building supply categories.
• Established supplier relationships and proven negotiation experience.
• Experience in product ranging, pricing, margin management and promotional planning.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to identify market opportunities, optimise product assortments and drive category performance.

Candidates from hardware suppliers, manufacturers or distributors with relevant commercial and category experience are welcome to apply.

Candidates must be Durban-based or willing to relocate to Durban if successful.
