Job summary

Boxer Superstores is seeking a Grocery Buyer at our Durban head office to navigate the fast-moving, competitive world of grocery retail. You will apply strong commercial instincts, negotiate with suppliers and shape product ranging and promotional strategies.

With a minimum of three years in buying or related roles, you’ll analyse sales, margins and stock performance, drive profitability and value for customers, and excel in advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' relevant buying or commercial category experience within Grocery Retail, FMCG, Wholesale or supplier environment.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, pricing and trading terms.
• Strong understanding of grocery category management, product ranging and promotional strategies.
• Ability to analyse sales, margins, stock performance and consumer trends.
• Excellent numerical ability and commercial acumen.
• Proactive, results-driven individual who thrives under pressure.

Are you a results-driven Buying professional who understands the fast-moving, competitive world of Grocery Retail?

Boxer Superstores is looking for an experienced Grocery Buyer with strong commercial instincts, excellent negotiation skills and a passion for driving sales, profitability and customer value.
