Job summary

Sataya is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own day-to-day operational finance, lead a small team and work closely with the CFO. The role requires hands-on ownership of inventory, COGS, VAT and statutory matters across multiple currencies and entities. Hybrid working is offered with office days in Cape Town.

The ideal candidate will bring practical solutions, strong integrity, and the ability to challenge numbers while maintaining timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4+ years of relevant Financial Controller or financial accounting experience.
• Experience with significant manufactured inventory and stock movements.
• BCom Accounting or BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review general ledger, income statement and balance sheet.
• Prepare or review journals, accruals and provisions.
• Oversee accounts and perform reconciliations for accuracy.
• Support CFO with monthly management reporting and analyses.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.
