Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a practical Chemical Engineer to join our Kimberley plant operations team. This role focuses on safe, efficient, and reliable operation, with involvement in monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will gain hands-on experience in critical plant operations within a key industrial sector in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of chemical processes and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years in plant operations or process engineering in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of process control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Optimize operating conditions to improve yield, efficiency, and product quality.
• Participate in plant start-ups, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Support process improvement projects and the implementation of new technologies.
