Job summary

Excellerate JHI is seeking a hands-on Building Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of a property in Gauteng. You will coordinate maintenance activities, manage service providers and contractors, and work with the Operations Team to support improvements and tenant installations.

You will maintain positive tenant relations, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to accurate reporting and cost control. A technical qualification and practical FM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Technical or mechanical qualification at N4 level.
• Approximately 3–5 years' experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Experience coordinating maintenance and managing service providers or contractors.
• Experience in a commercial property or facilities management environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the property.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Manage contractors to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Build positive tenant relationships and address maintenance queries.
• Support refurbishment and building improvement projects.
• Assist with budgets, records and reporting on maintenance.
