About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Gymnasium Operations Manager to lead the operations of a state-of-the-art fitness facility in Centurion, Gauteng . This senior role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency, member satisfaction, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in gym management, a deep understanding of fitness trends, and strong leadership capabilities. You will oversee all aspects of the gymnasium, including staff management, facility maintenance, program development, and sales. The goal is to create an exceptional fitness experience for all members and drive growth for the facility. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the gymnasium, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff.
• Manage, train, and motivate fitness instructors, personal trainers, and administrative staff.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, retention, and revenue.
• Manage the facility's budget, including forecasting, expense control, and P&L responsibility.
• Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, safe, and in optimal working condition, coordinating repairs and upgrades as needed.
• Develop and launch new fitness programs, classes, and member engagement initiatives.
• Oversee membership sales and retention strategies, setting targets and monitoring performance.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and industry regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sports Management, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitness industry management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in sales, marketing, and operational management within a fitness setting.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
