Placements24 is seeking an experienced Gym Operations Manager for a premier fitness facility in Nelspruit (Mbombela). You will drive daily operations, oversee staff, manage memberships and maintenance, and strive for outstanding member satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years in gym management, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of fitness industry trends, sales, and customer service. A certification in fitness is advantageous and a competitive compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gym management or fitness facility operations.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Understanding of fitness industry trends, sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Certification in fitness or related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily gym operations, including staffing, scheduling, and adherence to procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and develop gym team including front desk, trainers, and maintenance.
• Oversee membership sales and retention strategies; set and achieve targets.
• Ensure facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained; address issues promptly.
• Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment for optimal resource allocation.
• Handle member inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
