You will manage bookings from enquiry to departure, handle guest queries, and coordinate housekeeping, maintenance and financial administration to ensure an excellent guest experience. A friendly, professional approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric is essential.
• Minimum 3 years in guesthouse/hotel/lodge management.
• Good computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookings from enquiry through to departure.
• Respond to booking enquiries via telephone, email and other channels.
• Confirm bookings and communicate all relevant information to guests.
• Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle guest queries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure guests receive an excellent overall experience.
• Follow up on guest feedback and address issues where necessary.
• Check and confirm payments received for bookings.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and deposits.
• Issue invoices and receipts where required.
• Maintain accurate guest records and documentation.
• Assist with daily and monthly reporting.
• Manage cancellations, amendments and refunds according to procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas.
• Ensure rooms and guest areas are ready for arrivals.
• Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding outstanding issues.
• Report maintenance problems and follow up to ensure they are resolved.
• Monitor stock levels and request replenishment when required.
• Ensure the guesthouse maintains the highest standards at all times.
