Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience in Front of House in a 5‑star lodge or luxury environment.
• Excellent spoken English with a professional, presentable manner.
• Strong guest relations and hosting skills; Butler experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lodge or Assistant Manager with daily lodge operations.
• Conduct housekeeping checks according to set standards.
• Assist with restaurant operations before and during meals.
• Support service staff and ensure service standards are consistently maintained.
• Check meal standards before dishes leave the kitchen.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs and attend to guest requests.
• Arrange additional services and supplies as requested by guests.
• Communicate operational issues and improvement ideas to senior lodge management.
• Assist with stock counts and weekly/monthly reporting.

Guest Relations Officer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience | Live-in

A luxury private game reserve is seeking a polished and guest-focused Guest Relations Officer to support the daily lodge operations and deliver exceptional service to guests.

Requirements

• Hotel Management Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification
• 1–2 years’ experience in a Front of House or similar position within a 5-star lodge or luxury hospitality environment
• Excellent spoken English with a professional and presentable manner
• Strong guest relations and hosting skills, with Butler experience advantageous
• Good knowledge of Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping and Front Office operations
• Computer literate, including intermediate-level Excel
• Knowledge of Lightspeed, Sage Evolution and Protel advantageous
• Driver’s Licence preferred
• Strong attention to detail, common sense and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
