Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a polished Guest Relations Officer for a luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. You will support daily lodge operations, manage guest arrivals and requests, and work with the Lodge/Assistant Manager to ensure exceptional service.

The role requires a Hotel Management diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in a front-of-house luxury setting, strong English, and superb guest-hosting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum hotel or lodge front-of-house experience.
• 1–2 years in a 5-star lodge or luxury hospitality.
• Excellent spoken English with professional presentation.
• Strong guest hosting skills; Butler experience advantageous.
• Familiarity with F&B, housekeeping and front office operations.
• Computer-literate with intermediate Excel.
• Knowledge of Lodging software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support daily lodge operations with the Lodge or Assistant Manager.
• Conduct housekeeping checks according to standards.
• Assist restaurant operations during service.
• Support service staff and maintain service standards.
• Check meal standards before dishes leave the kitchen.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, and respond to requests.
• Arrange additional services and supplies for guests.
• Communicate issues and improvement ideas to senior management.
• Assist with stock counts and weekly/monthly reporting.

Guest Relations Officer Location: Eastern Cape Property: Luxury Private Game Reserve Salary: Negotiable depending on experience | Live-in

A luxury private game reserve is seeking a polished and guest-focused Guest Relations Officer to support the daily lodge operations and deliver exceptional service to guests.

Requirements

• Hotel Management Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification
• 1–2 years’ experience in a Front of House or similar position within a 5-star lodge or luxury hospitality environment
• Excellent spoken English with a professional and presentable manner
• Strong guest relations and hosting skills, with Butler experience advantageous
• Good knowledge of Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping and Front Office operations
• Computer literate, including intermediate-level Excel
• Knowledge of Lightspeed, Sage Evolution and Protel advantageous
• Driver’s Licence preferred
• Strong attention to detail, common sense and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Lodge or Assistant Manager with the daily operation of the lodge
• Conduct housekeeping checks according to set standards
